The Selby Taylor Cup was presented by Min Kelsey at an enjoyable social evening with musical entertainment from Lee Enstone.

Club captain Jeff Dunham thanked the Greens team for ensuring the course was in such good condition, their hard work on the course is to be commended after such a long wet spell.

Dunham also thanked Min and Selby Taylor for their continued support of the club as the season starter is a fun event which brings so many members together.

Meanwhile, the women’s section started the season with a two-day golf break at Dunston Hall.

A fun team game for day one started everyone off with an individual Stableford competition for day two.

The whole event was even more fun as the sun shone.

The break was a great opportunity to play golf at a different course, but also to play with different members and have some relaxed social time together.

“The women’s section in March is very friendly and we enjoy our social time together. It's really good to play with different people," said Michal Simpson women’s captain, who organised the event.
