WHY HULL KR HAVE ONLY NAMED A 20-MAN SQUAD FOR WARRINGTON WOLVES TRIP

Hull KR have only named a 20-man squad ahead of their trip to Warrington Wolves on Thursday. Willie Peters has kept one spot unallocated amid reports that the club is working to finalise an immediate deal for Jack Brown.

Rugby League Live revealed over the weekend that a swap deal, which would see Yusuf Aydin make a permanent switch the other way, was being discussed, and Rovers' decision to leave a spot unallocated would suggest that deal is now close to completion. Clubs are allowed to leave a spot free should they inform the Rugby Football League who they intend to take up the position.

Elsewhere, Oliver Gildart has been left out of the squad as a result of the knee injury he suffered in the warm-up ahead of the game against St Helens. Gildart was due to start the game but was forced to withdraw. His replacement, Jack Broadbent, remains in the squad after a try-scoring debut. Elliot Minchella (groin) and James Batchelor (eye) are both included despite being withdrawn during the victory over St Helens.
