WHEN WILL NEXT SEASON'S EFL FIXTURES BE ANNOUNCED? FOOTBALL LEAGUE NAME THE DATE

The fixture list for most if not all of Yorkshire's league clubs will be published at 9am on Wednesday, June 26.

Leeds United are still hoping to reach the Premier League next season, but Barnsley, Bradford City, Doncaster Rovers, Harrogate Town, Huddersfield Town, Hull City, Middlesbrough, Rotherham United and Sheffields United and Wednesday are all confirmed in next season's Football League.

The EFL will announce its schedule for the 2024-25 campaign next month, although more televised games than ever – with each Championship club guaranteed to be shown 24 times and a big increase in the number of lower-league games shown – will generate greater disruption.

The league has promised it will announce all televised games up to September when it publishes the fixture list, and that Sky will confirm all broadcast matches up to FA Cup third-round day before the campaign kicks off on August 9. The new Premier League season is due to start the following weekend.

United's relegation and Wednesday's Championship survival means a first Sheffield derby in five years, but Barnsley missed the chance of joining them when they went out 5-4 on aggregate to Bolton Wanderers in the League One play-off semi-finals.

Having not had a single Yorkshire derby in the league this season, the Reds could have plenty next, with Huddersfield and Rotherham dropping into the third tier and Doncaster well-placed to progress to the League Two play-off final.
