TAILTEANN CUP 2024 DRAW, FIXTURE GUIDE, BETTING ODDS AND TV INFORMATION

The GAA has confirmed the times and venues for the opening round of games in this season’s Tailteann Cup, which resumes this weekend.

The Group One tie between Kildare, one of the favourites for the competition, and Longford will be shown live on GAAGO with the Lilywhites hosting the game at Hawkfield with redevelopment work ongoing at Newbridge.

The three Ulster teams in the competition will all enjoy home advantage on the opening weekend with Down taking on Limerick in Newry on Saturday afternoon while Fermanagh host Wicklow on the same day.

Antrim are in action on Sunday as they welcome Tipperary to Corrigan Park. The Ulster trio are on the road in round two on Saturday, May 18 with the round round three games all taking place at a neutral venue. The final round of fixtures will be confirmed after the second round of games takes place.

Speaking at the launch of the competition, GAA president Jarlath Burns said: Now in its third year, the Tailteann Cup has already carved a niche for itself in our calendar. It offers a chance for counties to target a championship crown on an All-Ireland stage and produces competitive games.

“Our inaugural champions, Westmeath, have been fantastic ambassadors with their performances, and I expect last year’s winners Meath, to also greatly benefit from the experience of qualifying for Sam Maguire football this year. We are looking forward to another exciting competition.”
