REPORT: CHELSEA HAVE OVERNIGHT COMPLETED £40M DEAL, IT CAME OUT OF NOWHERE

Reports have claimed that Chelsea last night finally completed a deal worth £40m.

According to The Telegraph, the Blues reached an agreement with Infinite Athlete to be their new front of shirt sponsor for this season at least.

It has been somewhat of a nightmare for Todd Boehly and the Chelsea hierarchy this summer as they have looked to replace Three as their shirt sponsor for the upcoming season.

Any previous efforts have been rebuffed one way or another, and this left the club no option but to start the campaign without a sponsor on the front of the shirt.

Commonly popular with fanbases, it is no surprise that these sold out pretty quick on the club store in both instances they have been listed.

Chelsea agree £40m sponsor deal

This has been the case for each of the three jerseys the club have announced so far, however this era of the club looks as if it is coming to an end.

The regular income will be big for the club who will no doubt still be looking to make signings in future transfer windows despite their big spends.

They smashed their transfer record again this summer with the addition of Moises Caicedo, just months after they did the same thing to bring in Enzo Fernandez.

However, these have been countered with a number of big sales in order to stay in line with FFP.

They received big fees for the likes of Kai Havertz and Mason Mount, as the club changed face extremely quickly over the summer just gone.
