JURGEN KLOPP GESTURE TO REPORTER AFTER BRUISING LIVERPOOL DEFEAT SUMS HIM UP

Jurgen Klopp showed his true colours and displayed a touch of class by sending a special gift to a Sky reporter - the morning after Liverpool suffered a season-damaging defeat.

The Reds were battered 3-0 against Atalanta in the Europa League quarter-final first-leg earlier this month, putting them on the brink of an abrupt exit from the competition. Former West Ham forward Gianluca Scamacca scored twice, while Mario Pasalic added a third to stun the Anfield crowd.

Despite suffering the bruising defeat and having ZERO hours of sleep, Klopp still took the time to sit down with Sky journalist Jacquie Beltrao for an exclusive interview. Throughout, the German discussed a range of different topics, including his life, his philosophy and his career in football.

However, it was after the interview that Klopp stunned Beltrao with a heart-warming present. As Beltrao recently celebrated her 32nd year with Sky News, Klopp gave her a signed Liverpool shirt with the no.32 on the back - a gift the reporter described as an "amazing surprise".

In the first of three separate Instagram posts, Beltrao posted a video of her holding the signed shirt with the caption: "Full Jurgen Klopp interview on @skynews 6.30, 7.30, 8.30, 9.30.

"Considering it was the morning after @liverpoolfc had suffered a 3-0 loss at Anfield and he'd had no sleep - he was in good form and it was a pleasure to interview him. He was warm and friendly and will be missed massively at @liverpoolfc & in the City. One of my favourite ever interviews in the last 32 years!"

She added another post shortly after, this time with a selfie and a description of the interview, which read: "@skysports Class! You can watch the chat tomorrow morning on @skynews from 6am.

"He was very 'up' considering it had been a very bad night for Liverpool & gave some great answers not just about football but his philosophy and his life. His wife Ulla has told him he must learn to cook when he stops at Liverpool as he can only make tea."

Beltrao then wrapped the set of Instagram posts up by revealing why Klopp handed him the signed shirt and showing his true class. "Amazing surprise today," she finished. "Interviewed the legend that is Jurgen Klopp @liverpoolfc & afterwards he gave me this shirt. Signed with the number 32 - for my 32 years @skynews."

Liverpool fans have less than a month left of Klopp managing their club. He will take charge of just four more matches, with the final of them occurring at home to Wolves on Sunday, May 19.

After suffering two defeats in their last three matches and crashing out of the Europa League, there is also a distinct possibility that the Reds could end the season with just one major trophy when it once looked possible to win four.
