BOOST FOR GRASSROOTS SPORTS IN THE NORTH EAST AS LAW FIRM SPONSORS COMMUNITY CLUB

A North East law firm, has maintained its commitment to grassroots sport by sponsoring a bowls club at the heart of its community.

Savage Silk has sponsored Thornaby Bowls Club, founded in 1931. The club is a cornerstone of the local community and has more than 70 members. Based in Littleboy Park, the club is open to members for practice, coaching and matches seven days a week.

Several of its members play in the North Yorks Bowls League and hosts games in the C&Ts Triples and Doubles competitions and the Teesside Veterans competitions.

The club is run as a not-for-profit organisation and is maintained by a team of members, including its immaculate bowling green, its grounds and buildings, which include a tearoom, a bar and home and away changing rooms.

This sponsorship is part of Savage Silk’s community programme, which includes working with sports teams, including youth football clubs, across the region.
